Just a pleasant day with customers and friends in South Africa

At the stunning venue of the Johannesburg Country Club, Incentage Southern Africa held its first fun golf day. During this time of the year thunderstorms move in fast around Johannesburg, but thankfully the party had only a 30 minute interruption due to lightning in the area, and they were soon back in the buggies hunting down those elusive birdies and even an eagle or two. The scoring was good and it was a close call, but John Pickering, Incentage, and Rudi Steenkamp, Strate, won after a count back. Of course, John was not eligible for a prize so it was given to the runners up.

Alan Pillay, Managing Director of Incentage Southern Africa, said: “This is an opportunity for us to say thank you to the South African financial community that has shown their trust and commitment to the Incentage solution line. As we work so closely with most of our clients here they seem almost part of the Incentage family, and we all enjoy spending a quiet day on such a magnificent golf course, exchanging stories, wondering at each other’s swing and generally just having a great time together.

In 2012 we intend to hold the event again but with a more social aspect. We plan to run the event at Pimville Golf club in Soweto, where each flight will consist of one local junior golf player from Pimville and with our clients and friends making up the four ball. We will all be donating funds to the junior teams kitty for equipment and lessons, and of course the best funior player from Pimville will be awarded a special prize. We will also be complementing this with special recruitment of local IT talent with a view of enhancing their IT skills within the financial industry, thereby equipping them with expertise and knowledge with which they will be able to forge a career in the financial services industry.
